Hello there.
I grew up online when Xanga was a thing and myspace was just beginning. I don’t remember what I wrote about, probably wasn’t great. But, it was fluro green and orange. It was a designers nightmare, and it helped me process a lot of events and thoughts in my late teens early 20s.
For 5 years I blogged heavily on wordpress through a lot of courses and leadership training. Then I stopped. I would post the occasional Instagram story of my dog or some food. But now, as I attempt to design and write some RPG content. I would like to return. To post things I am creating, to process mechanics and rulesets and brainstorming tiny weird monsters.
It may not be useful to anyone else…. hopefully it will be. But hopefully this is one way to hack my brain. On the cusp of turning 40 it is becoming clear that have a brain that resides on an ADHD-type spectrum. And blogging is one way to hack its creative spew and freeze cycles.
So please join me as I throw out a lot of ideas, publish some finished project, rant about cool things my players do, and create story and myth and characters for a setting. The Grand Duchy.
TL: DR– this will be a collection of adventures, characters and lore from a Baltic inspired setting for TTRPGs. And some blog posts on why story games exist. And how they change the world.
